Alright, hot shot, I have a question :)

I've been trying to get my own shots of dragonflies and damselflies in the morning, but I can't find any! Where do they sleep?

I figured I should ask you on account of you being (obviously) a genius.

vielen dank.
also das 50/2.8 bzw.

f/11 and you get such short depth??
is there a special macro setting on your lens or is this a typo?
Wonderful image as always btw :)

at such a large magnification the depth of field is only a few millimeters

i c... still I expected more depth wit f/11...
thanks for letting me know...
btw how much magnification? is it more than 800mm lens?
Reply
:iconmartinamm:
MartinAmm Featured By Owner Aug 3, 2008  Professional Photographer
the magnification was about 1,6:1. moreover the focus lies on the eye, which isn´t on the same level as the body

:iconntora:
ntora Featured By Owner Aug 3, 2008  Hobbyist Photographer
that is the magnification you get from the digital sensor distance compared to a film camera setup so that a 100mm lens mounted on a digital SLR is actually like a 160mm lens.(that is what you meant I think)
I was asking what zoom you used so if you used an 800mm then the zoom would be about 1200mm.
Yes the focus is on the eye as it should be and the image is great like that!!
